Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using the website or confirming a booking, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you book for someone else, you confirm that you have their permission and must provide them with the relevant information.

A booking for a minor must be made or authorized by a parent or legal guardian, and the therapist must be informed before the appointment.

2. The Massaya service

Massaya arranges in-home massage therapy appointments in available service areas. The therapist travels with their equipment; the client must provide a safe, clean, accessible space with enough room for the service.

Displayed availability may change until confirmation. We may refuse, move or stop an appointment because of safety, behaviour, access, a disclosed health concern or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

3. Professional and health boundaries

Massaya provides professional massage therapy only. Sexual, violent, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate requests are prohibited and may result in immediate cancellation.

Massage therapy is not a diagnosis, medical treatment or emergency service. You must disclose any relevant condition, injury, allergy, pregnancy or contraindication and consult a healthcare professional when in doubt. Call 911 in an emergency.

4. Pricing and payments

Prices are in Canadian dollars and include travel and equipment; taxes are extra. Before confirmation, the summary shows the service price, taxes and any credit or gift card. No transaction fees are added. Tipping is optional and chosen at payment, after the massage.

Payments are handled by a specialized provider. You authorize processing of the confirmed amount and any correction you expressly accept or that is permitted by the cancellation policy. Contact us promptly about an error or duplicate payment so we can investigate and correct it.

5. Changes, cancellations and refunds

An appointment may be changed or cancelled without charge up to 24 hours before its scheduled time. When a change or cancellation is requested less than 24 hours before the appointment, a fee of $40 per massage applies (for example $80 for a couples massage).

6. Gift cards and receipts

Massaya gift cards may be used for eligible services and do not expire. They cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law. Terms shown when the card is purchased also apply.

A massage therapy receipt may be issued when the service and professional meet the applicable requirements. Clients are responsible for confirming eligibility and reimbursement rules with their insurer.

7. Account and communications

You must provide accurate information and protect access to your account. Notify us promptly of unusual activity. Confirmations, reminders and operational messages may be sent by email, text or telephone using the contact information you provide.

You may not bypass security, disrupt the service, use the website unlawfully or copy or exploit its content without permission.

8. Availability and responsibility

We work to keep information accurate and the service available, but interruptions, errors and events outside our control may occur. To the extent permitted by law, Massaya is not responsible for indirect losses caused by use or unavailability of the website.

Nothing in these terms limits a right or warranty that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Courts with jurisdiction in Quebec have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
