Only what is needed
We limit collection to information needed for the website, your booking and the requested service.
Your information, your choices
This policy explains in plain language what Massaya collects, why we need it and how you can remain in control of your information.
We limit collection to information needed for the website, your booking and the requested service.
Statistics (Google Analytics, Hotjar) and advertising tools (Google advertising features, Meta and TikTok pixels) remain off unless you accept them, together or separately. Without consent, no optional cookie is set: only anonymous visit measurements, with no cookie or identifier, are sent to Google to estimate traffic. The “Privacy preferences” link at the bottom of every page lets you change your mind at any time.
You may request access, correction or withdrawal of consent.
This policy applies to massaya.ca, the Massaya booking application and communications connected with our in-home massage therapy services.
Massaya is accountable for the personal information it holds. The person with the highest authority at Massaya acts as Privacy Officer unless that responsibility has been delegated in writing.
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect the following categories:
Information comes from you when you book or manage an appointment, buy or use a gift card, complete a form, contact us or publish a review. Our servers automatically produce limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
Optional analytics tools activate only after your consent. Your choice is stored locally in your browser and can be changed at any time through the “Privacy preferences” link in the footer.
Access is limited to authorized Massaya team members, the therapist assigned to your appointment and suppliers that help operate the service, such as hosting, payment, communications, calendar, support and consented analytics providers.
They receive only the information needed for their role. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect someone or to defend our rights. We do not sell personal information.
Some suppliers may process information outside Quebec or Canada. Before such a disclosure, Massaya must assess privacy factors and use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described, to deliver the service and to meet applicable legal, tax, accounting or professional obligations. You may ask us for the period applying to a specific category. Information is then destroyed or anonymized as permitted by law.
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No Internet-connected system can provide an absolute guarantee of security.
Email Massaya’s Privacy Officer at contact@massaya.ca. Describe your request and provide enough information for us to verify your identity without collecting unnecessary data.
We may update this policy when our practices or applicable requirements change. The update date will always appear at the top of this page, and material changes will be brought to your attention in an appropriate manner.
